This is what happened
This week was dominated by snow āļø ā ļø āļø – either the actual thing or just the word! Going into London on Wednesday, I have arrived at an almost empty train station car park. Seeing a man returning back to his car, he tried to be helpful and explained that there were no trains into London whatsoever until at least midday. He advised not to spend money on a car parking ticket and to go home.
Hmm… It made sense – there were no cars after all!
But I couldn’t help myself but to get a ticket and to check out the situation at the station. I was determined to get to London and to honour my appointment!
Arriving at the station, the staff confirmed what the man was saying! However, it turned out after a while that there was a possibility after all! -> Going into the opposite direction (Cambridge) and getting into London that way – which would mean an hour’s delay…
My determination made me buy a ticket – and than something STRANGE happened! The very moment I have pulled my payment card out of the machine an announcement was made: ‘The next train to London will be departing platform 2 in 4 mins!!! Can you believe it?!
Although the train was delayed, I have managed to get to my appointment on time!!!
How does this translate to life in general?
There will be times in your life when it will make logical sense not to do something. In an attempt to help, people will be sharing their knowledge and experience to make you understand that what you are attempting is impossible. BUT when you have made up your mind about where you are going, set yourself a strong intention to get there and have the guts to take the first step – no matter how small – things WILL start falling into place (as if by magic)!
3 Key Steps to Success
Step #1 – Make up your mind about where you want to go/where you want to be.
Step #2 – Set yourself a strong intention to get there.
Step #3 – Take the first step – no matter how small! And then take the next one… One step at a time, you WILL get there – or to something even better!
